GOP shafts working people again

The GOP just shafted the working people of America. By rejecting an attempt to raise the minimum wage, the Republican-controlled Senate showed that it is far more interested in lining the pockets of its campaign contributors than The nation.

That or they listened to the nation's top economists on the subject and realized that increasing the minimum wage would, in fact, hurt the people you think it would help.

Remember, having a job is better than not having a job. Check out the employment statistics of most European countries.

Many economists have recognized for more than a decade that the generous minimum wages and other rigidities of the French labor market caused unemployment rates that have remained stubbornly high since the early 1990's. Immigrants, youths, and other new entrants into the labor market have been hurt the most since they have had the greatest difficulty finding jobs.

I think the link to the site about Tony Palmeri is a cheap shot and a disgusting way of getting attention for comments that border on libel. I would encourage this particular site operator to delete the comment and the person operating the rogue site to be very mindful about what is said, lest they find themselves on the wrong side of the law themselves.
